Dottie Buster is a graduate of Meredith College with a Bachelor of Music degree.
She is a Nationally Certified Music Teacher with over 25 years of teaching experience.
Her teaching experience includes Kindermusik classes, church choirs, group and private music lessons.
She believes that music can be an enriching experience from childhood through adulthood and has taught all ages and levels.
She is committed to continuing her music education through workshops, seminars and programs offered through the Raleigh Piano Teachers Association and Music Teachers National Association.
She is a Past President of the Raleigh Piano Teachers Association and serves on the local and state level of the North Carolina Music Teachers Association.
Her students enjoy many fun performance opportunities, such as playathons and ensemble festivals. Students may also enter competitions such as the Young Artist Auditions held each spring.
Her North Raleigh studio is equipped with a Young Chang grand piano, Yamaha upright and Clavinova keyboard. A separate waiting room allows students to comfortably work on homework or theory while they wait for their lesson time.
In group lessons, student enjoy playing music theory computer games on the 100 inch screen display.
Dottie's philosophy is to extend the opportunity to experience music to students of all ages, abilities and levels.
